ANALYTICAL-EXISTENTIAL PSYCHOLOGY

Why Existential Analysis?

Nosotros_fundamento_transp_dic2019.png

Purpose

Existential Analysis is conceived as a Psychological Theory of human existence and the development of life. Through a deep anthropological understanding, he looks at the human being in his nature, condition and essence ; and at the same time, under a philosophical understanding , since it also considers their desires and their motivations to achieve the fullness of their existence in all their areas.

Practical application

The application of this scientific theory in the labor / organizational field allows any company to be seen as an organization of people, which goes beyond considering it only as a systematic structure that includes a set of human, financial and material resources that contribute to the realization of its distinctive mission.

Innovative Proposal

We have introduced Existential Analysis in the organizational / social field with an exclusive and original methodology, through our services in:

Fundamental Principles

Its basic principle and s affirmation to life, to lead one 's life with personal consent. How? Through a personal assent, an act of approval and an internally felt yes to everything that one does or allows. This means deciding on something in freedom and surrendering with commitment and internal congruence, which also implies movement and risk, taking a position, looking at a value, accepting effort and eventual fear.

His basic theorem is the dialogical relationship that one has as a human with the world and with oneself:

  • Our existential situation is dynamic and implies having a constant, inevitable and ontological relationship with the world, since one cannot be conceived without it, being referred to something other than oneself is part of our essence.

  • And our personal situation presents a double reference, towards our internal world and towards our external world; Well, in order to become oneself, one needs both others and one's own.

Its structural model is made up of the conditions that as human beings we need to achieve our existence. Therefore, Existential Analysis establishes that the human being is moved by:

  1. the deep longing to be able to be in the world and its reality;

  2. the feeling of the fundamental value of life ;

  3. the power to be oneself with its own identity, authenticity and authority;

  4. as well as your will to achieve what makes sense in your life .

Structural Model

What moves the human being?

1

As human beings, each of us was created to be and to survive in our world. We need to experience protection, space and support, with which we can develop a fundamental confidence of being-in-the-world that allows us to accept and / or endure reality as it is. Otherwise, we experience distress.

2

Our nature makes each of us a social being and feel belonging to a community. Therefore, we need relationship, time and closeness in order to be able to perceive the values of the world and thus be able to access the fundamental value of life, which is personally experienced through the feeling that it is good to be and to live. When you fail to feel the value in life, depression and other mood disorders ensue.

3

Each step in life should lead us to the development of being oneself. The fact of receiving a treatment with care, justice and appreciation throughout life contributes to the formation of our 'I' and our own value, thus allowing being and living authentically, the development of the own identity and intuition to evaluate one's way of being and what is ethically good, correct and true. Not being able to be oneself leads to complex development of personality traits and disorders.

4

Human beings perceive our existence and we look for a meaning in our life, through carrying out valuable activities, perceiving a context of opportunities and relationships, as well as a value in the future that tells us that we are here for something else in our existence. Loss of meaning in life produces existential frustration, addiction, and suicide.

The four pillars of existence

This is a cultivation table based on the Sustainable Development model [1] :

Represents on its surface the existence of the Human Being realized and lived voluntarily, with personal approval. Its four legs symbolize the four conditions that the Human Being requires to exist and give itself its own sustainability. To achieve them, it is necessary for the Human Being to carry out a continuous existential dialogue, which leads him to the development of his four fundamental existential motivations, simply represented by four verbs that in the German language are within the group of modal verbs (modalverben), and that have a deep meaning. This grammatical observation is made to facilitate understanding, since in Spanish these verbs do not have a direct and precise correspondence.

GLE International is a scientific association, based in Vienna, Austria, for the research and development of the Psychological Theory of Existential Analysis.

Its gestation dates back to its founder Viktor Frankl , who with his scientific contributions created Existential Analysis and Logotherapy; On his initiative, the first psychotherapy training center aimed at motivating meaning in life was created.

Both the evolution of Existential Analysis, based today on the Theory of Fundamental Existential Motivations, and the creation of a scientific association that studies current needs, we owe to Alfried Längle .
